castigated.
indulging never…
    what was…
  in thin-hope
     for what might be. 

now
    you travel by
       shores erode-worn…
      and
        swept to shadow-depth.

knowing
      where there is no wood
      the flame dies.
          why i am here
         building campfires
     by this sea?
